EPA 111 is proposing Clean Air Act emission limits and guidelines for carbon dioxide (CO2) from fossil fuel-fired power plants based on cost-effective and available control technologies. The proposals would set limits for new gas-fired combustion turbines, existing coal, oil and gas-fired steam generating units, and certain existing gas-fired combustion turbines.

- FERC October 19th Meeting Actions
At the October FERC Meeting, FERC Chairman Phillips discussed a letter from the Market Monitors of all six RTOs and ISOs expressing support for thr recommendation in NAESB’s gas/electric harmonization reform report, the major feature of which was endorsement of a NERC-like reliability organization for the natural gas industry.
